Four-bedroom detached house in D14 makes over £350,000

A four-bedroom detached house at 22 Eaton Brae, Orwell Road, Dublin 14, has been sold prior to auction by Boyle & Associates for a price believed to be well in excess of £350,000. Situated in a cul-de-sac, the updated two-storey house has off-street parking to the front and a secluded, walled rear garden.

Elsewhere in Dublin 14, Douglas Newman Good achieved a strong price of £575,000 for Garryhoe, on Sydenham Road, Dundrum. The detached four-bedroom bungalow, which needs extensive renovation, stands on one-third of an acre. In Rathfarnham, 20 Ballytore Road, a five-bedroom semi-detached house, was withdrawn by Lisney, which is quoting £310,000.

Elsewhere in Dublin 14, Douglas Newman Good secured £368,000 at auction for 79 Knocknashee, Goatstown, a detached four-bedroom house on a large corner site.

Also in Goatstown, an extended single-storey, three-bedroom house, Taney Lodge, on Taney Road, was withdrawn by Gunne, which is seeking offers in excess of £240,000.

Off Lower Kilmacud Road, 9 Mount Anville Wood, a detached four-bedroom house in a cul-desac, was withdrawn at £220,000 and is under negotiation through Gunne.

South Dublin

In Dalkey, Violet Hill, on Vico Road, a double-fronted detached five-bedroom house, standing on one-third of an acre, was withdrawn at £490,000 and sold later for a higher figure through Gunne.

In Killiney, 1 Ballinclea Heights, a detached three-bedroom house, was withdrawn by Lisney, which is quoting £290,000.

A three-bedroom end of terrace house at 6 St Paul's Terrace, Adelaide Road, Glenageary, was withdrawn by Tom O'Higgins, which is quoting £220,000.

In Monkstown, Melrose, a modern four-bedroom house on Belgrave Road, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting £340,000. Brooklands, a five-bedroom house at Ferndale Road, Rathmichael, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting £610,000.

In Stillorgan, 3 Farmleigh Close, a detached four-bedroom house, was sold prior to auction for £280,000-plus.

A detached four-bedroom house, Bona Vista, at Foxrock Park, Foxrock, was sold at auction for £355,000 through Sherry FitzGerald.

A three-bedroom brick and granite fronted period terraced house at 70b George's Avenue, Blackrock, was sold at auction for £265,000 through Douglas Newman Good.

In Dublin 12, 38 Poodle Park, off Lower Kimmage Road, a three-bedroom terraced house, was withdrawn at £136,000 and sold later for a higher figure through Gunne.

Dublin 2 & 4

A strong price of £915,000 was secured at a Sherry FitzGerald auction for 5 Greenfield Crescent, Donnybrook, a 1960s detached five-bedroom house with large gardens.

Elsewhere in Donnybrook, The Gate Lodge, at Donnybrook Castle, a detached two-bedroom gate lodge, was sold prior to auction for over £250,000 by Sherry FitzGerald.

A spacious two/three-bedroom townhouse at 2 Leeson Village, Dublin 4, was sold at auction for £500,000 through Eoin Deering.

In Ballsbridge, 6 Cranmer Lane, a four-bedroom townhouse situated off Haddington Road, was withdrawn at £335,000 and is under negotiation through Gunne.

In Sandymount, 6 Newgrove Avenue, a double-fronted end of terrace five-room period house, was sold at auction for £240,000 through Sherry FitzGerald.

Also in Sandymount, a refurbished two-bedroom semi-detached house at 6 Seafort Villas was sold at auction for £206,000 through Bennetts The Eoin Deering agency fetched £630,000 at auction for 3 Percy Place, a two-storey over garden level period house, currently in three self-contained units.

Close by, off Percy Lane, Dublin 4, an end-of-terrace two-bedroom mews house at 5 Percy Close, was sold at a Douglas Newman auction for £256,000.

Dublin 6 & 8

In Rathmines, 38 Belgrave Square, a Victorian two-storey over garden level four-bedroom house, was sold at a Gunne auction for £470,000.

Also in Rathmines, 5 Summerville Park, Upper Rathmines Road, a three-bedroom mid-terrace period house, was sold at auction for £219,500 by Boyle & Associates.

A four-bedroom mid-terraced house at 195 Harold's Cross Road, Dublin 6, was sold at auction for £255,000 through BFR Estates.

In Portobello, Dublin 8, 4 St Kevin's Road, a Victorian twobedroom terraced house, was sold after auction for £245,000 through Sherry FitzGerald.

North Dublin

Off Howth Road, in Dublin 5, a three-bedroom semi-detached house at 95 Furry Park Road was sold at auction for £230,000 through Sherry FitzGerald.

Wicklow

In Greystones, Cooleven, a detached four-bedroom bungalow on Manor Avenue, was sold at a Sherry FitzGerald auction for £355,000.

Also in Greystones, Wilton, a four-bedroom period house on Killincarrick Road, made £310,000 through Jackson-Stops McCabe.

A well-presented three-bedroom townhouse, Clara, on Herbert Road, Bray, was sold at auction for £222,000 through Sherry FitzGerald.

Provincial

In Co. Wexford, 17 acres at Roxborough, was sold prior to auction for over £1.7 million through John W. Corish.

In Galway, a two-bedroom terraced house in need of modernisation at 3 St Brendan's Avenue, Woodquay, Galway, was sold at auction for £98,500 by O'Donnelan & Joyce.

Also in Galway, the same agent sold a four-bedroom detached house with a two-bedroom self-contained granny flat at 14 Sylvan Road, Fairlands Park, Newcastle, at auction for £185,000.

In Co Meath, the T.E. Potterton agency auctioned three properties: near Navan, 23 acres at Ongenstown was withdrawn. The agent is now quoting £200,000. Five acres of land at Cullen, Beauparc, was sold at auction for £28,000 while one acre at Ratoath was sold for £38,000.

Commercial

A Cork buisnessman has paid £2.35 million for an office and store owned by Telecom Eireann at Albert Quay, Cork. The 14,000 sq ft premises stands on a site of 0.9 acres and has 75 car-parking spaces.

DTZ Sherry FitzGerald secured £1.75 million at auction for 43 Fitzwilliam Place, Dublin 2. The four-storey over basement Georgian office building has 4,383 sq ft of floor space.

Another Georgian office building, at 63 Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2, was sold at auction for £1.64 million through joint agents Douglas Newman Good and Agar.

In Dublin 4, a 2,255 sq ft two-storey over garden level Georgian office building at 72 Haddington Road made £600,000 through McNally Handy.

In Inchicore, a site with planning permission for 14 units at Camac Close, was withdrawn at £620,000 by Boyle & Associates, which sold it later for a higher price A 5,000 sq ft refurbishment/development opportunity at 40 & 40a Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald.

In Co Meath, The Swan Inn, in Coollronan, Ballivor, was sold prior to auction for around the guide price of £180,000 by Royal Auctioneers.

A nine-acre site with planning permission for 63 houses at Tullamore Road, Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath, was withdrawn at £1 million and sold later for a higher figure through Gerard Brady & Co.

A 1.09-acre development site with outline planning permission for 20 apartments in Athy, Co Kildare, was sold at auction for a record price of £470,000 through Kenneth Crowe.

Elsewhere in Co Kildare, Colm McEvoy sold two three quarter acre sites, each with planning permission for a dormer bungalow, at Brannockstown, Naas, in separate lots for £104,000 and £101,000, respectively. In Co Galway, The Ford Cross public house, at Headford, was sold prior to auction for about £400,000 by Keane Mahony Smith.
