The Bishop's Castle Tearooms by Sir John Lavery, £37,500 (£30,000-£50,000); The Pool in the Bog (Achill Island) by Paul Henry, £25,000 (£15,000- £20,000); Mule Team by the first World War artist CWV (Christopher) Nevinson estimated at £250,000- £350,000 failed to sell.

Tuesday (June 16th) De Veres, Buswell's Hotel, Kildare St. Irish Art Auction at 6pm. Viewing under way at 35 Kildare Street including Pears on Pewter Platter by Hilda van Stockum, €1,000-€2,000. Wednesday (June 17th) O'Reilly's Auction Rooms, 126 Francis St, Dublin 8. Auction of jewellery, silver and watches at 1pm. A cufflinks and shirt stud set by Chaumet (the renowned Place Vendome, Paris jewellers), set with princess-cut diamonds and calibré sapphires, in fitted case from the London branch of Chaumet, €5,000-€6,000.
