Mid-century specialist Geoff Kirk of Kirk Modern (kirkmodern.com) is a regular at the monthly Brocante (facebook.com/thebrocantemarket) at Newmarket Square, Dublin 8. This Sunday he will be showing an Eames aluminium-frame soft pad chair (above) made by Vitra. The EA 208 pre-loved piece was designed in 1969 and comes complete with Eames tags. Its leather is softly worn. It was €995. He’s offering the first Bargain Hunter reader who presents today’s column the opportunity to buy it for €595.
These pieces cost about €2,500 new.
