Designer Deborah Veale recently took the big step of launching her own range of jewellery based around the theme of the fan.

It's a big step for this NCAD graduate and Late Late ShowDesigner Award winner, who is slowly adding her name to accessories as well as her main clothing line. Feminine, simple and art deco inspired, the range is made from blending silver with pearls and goes from full-size disc to half-size fan to double quarter-size pendants with tassels. Earrings are gold or silver hoops with fan and tassels or simple fans with yellow or grey pearls. The complete range is sold in Weirs of Grafton Street, with prices starting from €59 for fan and yellow pearl earrings up to €255 for a two fan drop grey pearl necklet.
