Living in a hot country? Share your tips for handling the heat

Ireland is sweltering, and running out of water. How can we do things better?

Temperatures have soared over 30 degrees in Ireland in the past 10 days, with the hot weather forecast to continue for another 10 at least. A status yellow temperature warning is in place for Monday, and a hosepipe restriction is in place to help conserve water as supplies in reservoirs drop.

If you are living in a hot country where such temperatures are the norm, Irish Times Abroad would like to hear from you. Have you got used to the heat? How is water conserved in drought conditions? Are bans or restrictions in place, and are they observed? How do you keep your plants watered and your car clean? Any other advice?

You can share your experiences and suggestions (max 300 words) using this form. Please include a summery photograph of yourself where you live if you have one to hand.
