Irish abroad: Tell us about your mums

In advance of Mother’s Day, we’re asking readers overseas about their long-distance relationships

Mother’s Day is coming up next week, so The Irish Times is asking readers overseas to tell us about their long-distance relationships with their mums.

What are your enduring memories of your mother? How has moving away affected your relationship? Are you in regular contact, or do you find it difficult to communicate openly over the phone or by Skype or email? Do you keep in touch in a different way with your mum than with your dad? When do you miss her most?

Send us your tributes and reflections in less than 300 words by email (with a photo if possible) to emigration@irishtimes.com by this Friday, March 26th, or by leaving a comment below this article. A selection will be published in print on Saturday, March 5th. Thank you.
