Hide and smooth tiny nail ridges and imperfections

I can't live without, Celine Byrne, soprano

Lancôme Bi Facil As an opera singer I wear a lot of heavy eye make-up for the stageand this removes all types of eye make-up, even waterproof mascara, while conditioning the skin. It’s brilliant.

Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation I have issues with pigmentation. I have melasma, which never went away after the birth of my younger child. This foundation has good coverage which works for me. It glides on evenly leaving a flawless finish.

Retin-A cream I use the Renova brand which helps to reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles and mottled skin discoloration. I had eczema when I was young, so I am careful about what I use. I use this at night and use the old reliable E45 cream in the morning.

Flowerbomb by ViktorRolf I love this perfume and I wear it almost every day. I love its sweet smell. When I want to spoil myself I use Flowerbomb bath salts, put on a face mask (for sensitive skin), light candles and have a long soak in a hot bath, followed by the body moisturising cream.

Celine will be appearing in Carmen at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre March 13th-17th

Butter London's Nail Foundation hides and smoothes tiny ridges and imperfections in the nail and leaves a silky matte finish which is great worn alone for a groomed natural nail. It doubles up as a base coat, leaving a smooth surface on which to paint colour and a flawless result to your nail lacquer. €21.50 from bathandunwind.com

Give your nails the professional treatment with Sally Hansen’s Salon Manicure, Cuticle Eraser + Balm, a two-in-one remover and cream that uses white tea and cucumber to loosen and exfoliate overgrown cuticles while conditioning nails and skin (€9.95).

Ooh, how glamorous Estée Lauder (yes the EL) looks here, mixing the essences that would eventually become the iconic Youth Dew scent. Originally sold as a fragranced bath oil, it was perfectly timed to appeal to the modern American woman of 1953. It’s still a best-seller today due to its classic blend of sweet and warm ingredients. Two words: Mother’s Day. It costs €57.

If the recent leather-look nail trend failed to float your boat, the same creative minds at Nails Inc have followed up with a range of polishes containing feather-like particles, in fresh pastel shades. There’s no complicated application technique either – one coat gives full coverage (€16.50).

Highbrow

A slick of this pink highlighting pencil underneath the brow arch works like a mini eyelift, and although that’s very impressive, its talents don’t end there. Say goodbye to those dark pockets at the inner eye corners, and dark circles don’t stand a chance against its all-concealing power. Just apply and blend. Isadora Eyebrow Lifter, €10.95 at pharmacies.
