Aisling’s Picks: This week a new pore minimizing primer, a tried and trusted colour fade spray and a great Irish natural skincare brand

A super spendy mature skin saviour, serious looking eye serum and a cucumber mask to wake up eyes

Pureology Colour Fanatic (€18.25)

Anyone who colours their hair knows that the problem of colour fade can be a right pain in the neck and the sun speeds the process right up. This super saturated spray protects hair against heat and contains natural conditioning agents like coconut oil which also calm down frizz and help to make colour look more shiny.

Smashbox Pore Minimizing Photo Finish Primer €35

One reason I think many people, myself included, do not like wearing primer is because can feel heavy or sticky on the skin. It can be a necessary evil if you need your makeup to last however and this new product from the king of primers works well for warmer weather and the oil free, lightweight formula will also make pores appear less visible.

Lancome Advanced Genefique Yeux (€55)

I love this fresh eye serum with the ice cold applicator, which sort of wiggles around to give the eye a gentle massage. The applicator is less ‘bobbly’ in this new packaging which is good as the original one looked vaguely comical. The serum will not weigh down under eye skin and the pearlised formula reflects light while moisturising.

Rimmel Wonder’full Wake Me Up Mascara €9.99

Smelling of cucumbers and providing a brush with a wavy finish to get right into the lashline and push lashes up and out this is a super mascara for the price. With hydrating and softening ingredients it avoids that irritating ‘crunchiness’ too.

Yon-ka Excellence Creme (€150)

Not all luxury creams are worth forking out this much for but if you have mature skin and adore natural fragrances you will love this cream. The rich formula with a spa-like fragrance immediately cossets and hydrates parched skin.
