Father Browne's record as a prolific amateur photographer is well known, especially for documenting the Titanic on its maiden voyage. Now the Hunt Museum, in partnership with Cavan County Museum, has organised an exhibition drawn from the photographs he took during the first World War when he ministered to the troops at the Somme, Messines Ridge, Passchendaele, Ypres, Amiens, and Arras.

TRAD
RTÉ Contempo Quartet with special guests The Máirtín O'Connor Band
Earagail Arts Festival, Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny, 8pm, €15/€12 eaf.ie/events

Earagail Arts Festival offers these magnificent musicians to share a stage and a repertoire once again. Longtime collaborators, Contempo and Máirtín O'Connor brew a heady mix of music that defies classification. Expect conventional notions of musical boundaries to be duly ignored, while they concoct all kinds of fireworks, sparked in many cases by O'Connor's magical tunes.
