VICTORIAN mahogany dining table with one extra leaf made the day's highest price of £2,100 at last Tuesday's fine art auction at Adams of Blackrock, Co Dublin. A Victorian mahogany secretaire bookcase in two sections fetched £1,550, and other Victorian bookcases sold for £1,350, £1,250 and £900 respectively.
A Victorian carved, giltwood, rectangular overmantle made £800, an Edwardian mahogany breakfront display cabinet realised £720, a set of six Victorian oak dining chairs sold for £680 and an Edwardian marquetry, inlaid, mahogany display cabinet fetched £570.
