MUSIC NEWS:The Heineken Green Spheres bandwagon will roll into Dublin in December, bringing with it some of the biggest names in the alternative music world. They'll play free gigs over several days in various venues.

American surf-pop outfit the Drums will play the Village on December 1st, with support from Australian act Cloud Control. UK soul singer Aloe Blacc will play the Olympia Theatre on December 2nd, while the 3rd will see one of the biggest Green Spheres gigs to date with Wild Beasts headlining The Academy with support from Summer Camp and Consumer Love Affair.

Also taking place on December 3rd is a performance by enigmatic dubstep artist SBTRKT, who plays his second Irish show at the Workman’s Club. As previously mentioned, the gigs are free but tickets must be applied for via HeinekenMusic.ie from November 11th.

The Green Spheres gigs have been running in Ireland for several years and have been a huge success to date, according to Karl Fielding of Heineken Music. “Green Spheres is all about delivering memorable experiences,” he said.
