Superhero flies into New York

Death of a Superhero, Ian Fitzgibbon’s wry, unusual drama concerning a young, terminally ill dreamer, has picked up the audience award and a “special Mention of the Jury” at the Mamer-en-Mars European Film Festival. The picture recently screened at the International Filmfest in Istanbul and, later this month, will play in New York at the Tribeca Film Festival. An Irish release is expected sometime this year.
