Famed animator Michiyo Yasuda dies aged 77: A tribute in pictures of her work

Known for her brilliant use of colour, Michiyo Yasuda joined the newly-founded Studio Ghibli in 1985 as the head of it's colour department and helped define the animation studio's work. She worked on several award-winning films from the stuido, inclusing My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle and Ponyo. Yasuda died on October 5th, 2016 at age 77.
