The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival has confirmed its first event for the 2011 outing.

To celebrate 90 years since the release of Rex Ingram's The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse, the festival will screen a print of the melodrama accompanied by live music from RTÉ Concert Orchestra.

The gala, at the National Concert Hall on February 26th, stands as tribute to an overlooked Dubliner. Ingram, born in the city in 1892, went on to direct such influential silent films as The Conquering Powerand The Prisoner of Zenda.
