A private buyer paid £1,600 for a George IV D-end mahogany economy table, 8ft in length, at an auction conducted on the premises of Thomas P. Adams of Blackrock, Co Dublin, last Tuesday.
A Waterford crystal Avoca chandelier, with 10 s-shaped arms complete with drip pans and tear drops, made £1,500, an Edwardian pine four-door glazed bookcase realised £1,000 and a Victorian mahogany dining table, with moulded rectangular top on fluted tapering legs, went under the hammer at £840.
