Dublin streets will be closed for broadcast

Severe traffic disruption is expected in the south of Dublin city centre this morning from 8.30 to about 11.30, as the RTE Gay Byrne Show makes its traditional - and last - Christmas Eve outside broadcast. This year the show will be transmitted from St Stephen's Green North, adjacent to the junction of the Green with Dawson Street. Dawson Street and Kildare Street will be closed from 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., as will St Stephen's Green North. Dublin Corporation advises motorists to avoid the entire south inner city area for the duration, if at all possible.
