In a report in the editions of January 5th last concerning the arrest of Angelo Fusco, it was stated erroneously that Mr Anthony Sloan was convicted in 1981 of the murder of Capt. Herbert Westmacott. Mr Sloan was not arrested, tried or convicted for the murder of Capt. Westmacott, which occurred in May 1980. The error is regretted.

The picture on page 4 of yesterday's editions of the UCD Fashion Show was of Alice Kyne-Delahunty and Orna Murphy, not Orna Mulcahy, as the caption claimed.

The headline over a court report in yesterday's editions - "Dredging halted as complaints about wintering birds upheld" - was inaccurate. It was work on the creation of alternative feeding grounds for the birds that was halted.

A report headed "RTE suffers further loss of listeners to independents in latest JNLR survey" in yesterday's editions stated incorrectly that "Carlow Kilkenny Radio" had the lowest market share outside Dublin, at 22 per cent. There is no such radio station, and Radio Kilkenny has pointed out that its market share is 42 per cent, with 59 per cent "listened yesterday" figures. This error is regretted.
