Mike Bunn, one of Ireland’s best known photographers, and creator of this wonderful image (left) is to give a two-day photographic workshop at his studio in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim, at the end of this month.

Aimed at advanced amateurs and budding professionals, the workshop “will be a taste of intensive studio work and the disciplines and requirements of high standard professional photography,” he says. The winner of many international awards, Bunn was the only photographer nominated at last year’s Motorola Dublin Fashion Week Awards and won Best Fashion Photographer at RTÉ’s recent Off the Rails Fashion Awards. The package, limited to a maximum of eight participants, consists of a two-day workshop, including two nights’ bed and breakfast and one dinner in a local hotel.

Participants will learn about lighting and equipment, how to photograph still life with different lighting set-ups, along with a practical tutorial on portrait lighting used for fashion and beauty, using a professional male model. The cost for the weekend from February 26th-28th is €495. For details, send an email to arrowproductions@eircom.net or call the studio on tel: 071-9621088 or 086-8432493.
