Whiskey Live Dublin 2023

Ireland’s biggest whiskey tasting event is taking place on the 19th and 20th of May in its new home, the RDS Main Hall. The event has always been a fantastic place for people to discover new whiskies, hear from the makers and creators, sample distillery exclusives, and have a great Dublin day out. Having grown from humble beginnings with just a few stands in the Mansion House, to now taking up four sessions across two days, with over 100 brands flying in for the weekend, it’s safe to say the event has gone from strength to strength.

Whiskey Live Dublin is Ireland’s premier whiskey tasting event this May, with over 100 exhibitors, all providing whisk(e)y samples. Once you’ve paid your general admission ticket all sampling is complimentary with the exception of food trucks, full-sized bottles from the pop-up shop, and pours from the exclusive Dream Dram Bar. Your ticket price also includes a welcome pack with a bespoke branded tuath glass, your Whiskey Live Dublin guide, complimentary water, and a branded tote. Meet the faces behind your favourite brands, from both Ireland and across the globe. Expect bespoke food pairings, cocktail samples, bespoke spirits, and beers.

Masterclasses

Always an exciting element of the event is the array of masterclasses on offer during all four sessions. Each masterclass is hosted by a different brand and each takes the opportunity to truly show the best the brand has to offer. From cocktail pairings from Roe & Co to the Bushmills Causeway Collection or the ever-elusive Pappy Van Winkle there is something for everyone in this year’s lineup. Priced at €10 (excl. booking fee) these masterclasses give customers the opportunity to get up close and personal with their favourite brands. Do be aware you must have a general admission ticket to attend any of the masterclasses within your session.

Dream Dram Bar

The Dream Dram Bar concept was created to give people the chance to sample some of the most exclusive whiskies out there. The Celtic Whiskey Bar and Larder (home to Ireland’s biggest whiskey collection) will be travelling up from its home in Killarney with some of its most exciting bottlings in tow. All brands attending will also be popping something special behind the bar. With the samples only available by the 1cl measure it makes the most exclusive of whiskeys more affordable. The perfect stop-off to relax and have a sup of your dream whiskey.

Charity partners

This event has been a long-time partner of the charity Down Syndrome Dublin, each year pledging a minimum of €10 from each general admission ticket sale to them directly. Last year Whiskey Live Dublin was delighted to be able to donate an impressive €45,5600, almost doubling their 2019 donation of €23,070, to Down Syndrome Dublin. Make sure to stop by the Down Syndrome Dublin raffle stands this year where 100 per cent of ticket sales go directly to the charity, and be in with a chance of winning some amazing prizes all donated by brands in attendance.
