Google welcomes you to the jungle

Google Earth's Street View has brought ever more remote regions of the world to our computer screens. Last year we were treated to a camel's-eye-view of the Sahara Desert; now the armchair explorer can zip-line through the Amazon forest or coast the jungle's edge while floating down the Rio Mariepauá, thanks to Google's partnering with the Amazonas Sustainable Foundation. When you're done exploring the rainforest, head over to the Street View special collection and choose from trips to the Grand Canyon, Galapagos Islands, Antarctica and many more. My personal favourite is Finland's Northern Lights: images of the Aurora Borealis are lovely, but the 360-degree panoramic view is breathtaking. http://iti.ms/1BGIi8Q
