At long last, the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) is trading in the chalkboard for electronic technology. The new electronic trading system, ISE Xetra, is the product of an alliance with Deutsche Borse in Frankfurt, Germany.

Although investors cannot access the system directly, they benefit from more efficient, reliable and transparent trading that allows buyers and sellers to get the best value available on any given deal. The move also allows ISE member firms to introduce online trading services to their customers.
