Software company Intentia has launched a Java version of its flagship product, Movex. Intentia says it is the first enterprise resource planning (ERP) software package developed in the Java programming language. Intentia says it believes Java will be central to the operation of future successful business systems. According to Mr Cormac Watters, Intentia Ireland's managing director, customers will be able to integrate their mission-critical applications with the Internet to improve e-business opportunities because Java is Internet-friendly.
