McDonald's Sweden has chosen software developed by Irish-based technology firm, Alphyra, as the infrastructure to deliver its electronic funds transfer system. In a deal worth just under £500,000 (€635,000), Alphyra will provide switching infrastructure for 220 McDonald's restaurants throughout Sweden. The transaction software will enable McDonald's to efficiently deliver a platform that can accept credit card and debit card payments.
