Graphic design awards

Graphic design company Eamon Sinnott & Partners has won the Irish Design Effectiveness Awards. The IDEA'99 award, for redesigning literature for Athy fireplace manufacturer The Leinster Foundry, was presented by international fashion designer Mr John Rocha. Sales of the cast iron fireplaces increased by 250 per cent a month following the redesign, according to Mr Sinnott. Red Dog Graphics won first place in the corporate identity category, while Swan Design topped the packaging category.
