French jobless rate dips

French unemployment fell in November, continuing a run of monthly decreases in the jobless total which the Socialist-led government hopes will eventually produce a return to full employment. The number of people unemployed, adjusted for seasonal variations, fell by 44,400 or 1.7 per cent, to 2,624,400 from 2,668,800 in October, the employment ministry said.
