Esat Digifone announced a millennium-celebration competition yesterday to develop a telecommunications mast which will support up to five pieces of aerial equipment.

Supported by the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland, the competition is open to architects, engineers, designers, artists and sculptors, and has a total prize fund of £10,000. The winners of the competition will be announced in January.
