Eircom votes on Eircell

Decision day arrives for the Eircell deal this week when Eircom holds an extraordinary general meeting on Friday to decide on its demerger and sale to British mobile phone giant Vodafone.

Small shareholders will no doubt avail of the opportunity to vent their frustration at the board but the result is a foregone conclusion.
