THE NATIONAL Asset Managment Agency (Nama) has appointed a receiver to the exclusive mobile home park Jack’s Hole in Brittas Bay, Co Wicklow to recover loans advanced by Anglo Irish Bank.

A favourite holiday destination for Ireland’s wealthy, the beach-front park will remain open and be managed by receiver, accountant Simon Coyle of Mazars, with a view to improving and selling the property.

The popular resort was owned by brothers and property developers Tony and Patrick Fitzpatrick whose father, Paddy, developed it.

There are 71 mobile home sites in Jack’s Hole and the resort, which is open 10 months of the year, employs three people.

Mobile homes in the park changed hands for €250,000 during the property boom as wealthy buyers rushed to join one of the country’s most elite clubs.

Mr Coyle declined to comment on his appointment yesterday afternoon to JHB Limited, the firm that owned the park.

The Fitzpatricks resigned as directors of the firm in February.

Nama has already taken enforcement action against the Fitzpatrick brothers, appointing Mr Coyle as a receiver to their development at the Beacon South Quarter in Sandyford, south Co Dublin, which is co-owned with Paddy Shovlin.
