British Airways profits take off

British Airways yesterday announced a turnaround in fortunes, reporting a massive jump in profits over the past year. Pre-tax profits for the year to March 31st came in at £150 million sterling, against a profit of just £5 million the previous year - BA's toughest since privatisation.
