Legal information pack on rape
Rape Crisis Network Ireland (RCNI) has published a Legal Information Pack for solicitors and barristers who provide advice to survivors of sexual violence. The pack was launched by Ms Justice Catherine McGuinness. The aim of the pack is to equip all legal practitioners advising a survivor of sexual violence with as much specialist information as possible, based on the perspective of the survivor who is working out how best to cope with her or his role in the legal system. The pack is available for download from the RCNI website.

Property law
The Law Society of Northern Ireland is also holding a conference on property law on September 27th and 28th next in the Riddel Hall, Queen’s University, Belfast. Speakers include Lord Justice Kerr of the UK Supreme Court, Prof John Wylie of Cariiff University, Prof Lizzie Cooke, of the Law Commission of England and Wales, Mr Justice McCloskey of the Northern Ireland Law Commission and solicitor Reema Manna. It will be opened by the Chief Justice of Northern Ireland, Sir Declan Morgan.
