Avoca Handweavers wins `Marketer of the Year'

Avoca Handweavers, the family-owned clothing firm, has won this year's Marketer of the Year award.

According to the judging panel, the company displayed innovation "by turning a small family business into one of Ireland's greatest success stories".

Avoca Handweavers is involved in the manufacture of clothing and knitwear using natural fibres such as wool, cotton and linen. The company has a turnover of £17 million and employs 350 people at its three factories in Wicklow and at its eight retail outlets around the State.
