Anglo Irish Bank has announced the appointment of Mr John Rowan, the managing director of its UK operations, as an executive director. Mr William McCann, chairman of the ESB and Galco Steel, has been appointed as a non-executive director. Mr McCann is also deputy chairman of the Irish Takeover Panel and a director of Readymix and Airplanes Ltd among other companies.
