European sovereign debt issues are expected to remain to the fore in the days ahead, after EU leaders met late last week amid growing speculation of an overhaul of the euro zone’s bailout fund by March.
Markets will also be looking to the slew of corporate earnings reports due out this week for direction.
From an Irish perspective, results from Smurfit Kappa and Elan will be of particular interest.
