The Eures network of advisers provides essential information to jobseekers and employers through personal contact. Eures Advisers are trained specialists who provide the three basic Eures services of information, guidance and placement, to both jobseekers and employers interested in the European job market. They have specialised expertise in the practical, legal and administrative matters relating to mobility at national and cross-border level. They work within the public employment service of each member state, or within other member or partner organisations in the Eures network.
Since it was first established, Eures has evolved and expanded the network, continuously adapting to more modern recruitment methodologies and labour market trends. Eures has introduced various technical innovations, establishing its unique position in European employment services. These include a sophisticated job matching engine on the Eures portal, which has more than one million registered CVs, more than three million job listings and a European Job Days (EJDs) recruitment platform which has so far hosted 364 EJDs.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of EJDs, a platform service that has become a cornerstone in connecting jobseekers with employers across the European Union, the European Economic Area and Switzerland. Both employers with skill shortages and jobseekers or job-changers looking for new roles can benefit from Eures services and its online EJDs. As a free European public service, the EJDs platform is designed to make transnational and cross-border recruitment simple, transparent and accessible. By combining a dynamic digital platform with expert human support across 31 countries, EJDs offer far more than a typical online job fair. In addition to matching employers with suitable candidates, it provides practical information on living and working in specific countries, enabling jobseekers and businesses to explore new opportunities and build meaningful connections across Europe from wherever they are.
Eures Ireland is hosting its next European Job Day event, Boost Your Career with Eures 2026, on October 20th
EJDs are organised by Eures organisations across Europe and showcase employment opportunities in a wide range of sectors, including IT, engineering, healthcare and hospitality. Each year, more than 35 European Online Job Days are hosted on the platform, giving Irish employers the opportunity to participate in any event that aligns with their recruitment needs. Eures Ireland is hosting its next EJD event, Boost Your Career with Eures 2026, on October 20th. This online event offers Irish employers a unique opportunity to promote vacancies in technology, life sciences and engineering to jobseekers in Ireland and across the EU/EEA. Jobseekers will be able to apply for roles and schedule interviews in advance through the platform’s interactive features. A range of recruitment services will be available to employers, including publishing vacancies on the event’s website, automatic matching, interview scheduling and conducting interviews through the EJD platform. The event will be streamed live and will feature employer presentations, online interviews and public and private chat sessions, enabling direct engagement between employers and jobseekers.
Since its launch in 2011, EJDs have moved countless careers and companies forward. EJDs have translated European co-operation for employment into tangible results. Nearly 400,000 jobseekers have participated in 364 EJD events, engaging 14,000 employers from 32 countries and sectors such as tourism, IT and healthcare. According to official data, EJD participation has contributed to support the publication of 25,000 job vacancies, generating a total of circa 250,000 job applications, underscoring the platform’s positioning as a trusted and unique tool for providing fair European jobs.
