Watford 2 Blackburn 1: A second half header from substitute Jay DeMerit allowed Watford to celebrate only their second Premiership victory of the season.
Brett Emerton's own goal had given Watford a lead that was cancelled out in first half stoppage time by a header from Benni McCarthy, his 14th goal of the season.
