Arsenal (4) v Everton (6)

Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor suffered a thigh injury during Tuesday night's Carling Cup victory at West Brom and should be out for three weeks. Gael Clichy and Philippe Senderos are available for the clash but Freddie Ljungberg (calf), Emmanuel Eboue (knee), Julio Baptista (hamstring), Lauren (knee) and Abou Diaby (ankle) are still in the treatment room.

Everton boss David Moyes is hoping that Phil Neville (hamstring), Joseph Yobo (groin) and Nuno Valente (groin) will have recovered to play, but it will be a late decision on all three. Tony Hibbert, Gary Naysmith, Richard Wright, Alessandro Pistone and now David Weir — following his head injury in midweek — are out long term. Andy van der Meyde and Simon Davies have ankle injuries, but the Wales midfielder is expected to be fit, while Tim Howard has recovered from a virus.

Wigan midfielder Denny Landzaat could be given a chance following the injury to Josip Skoko (hamstring). Also out is centre-half Fitz Hall, who suffered ankle ligament damage against Manchester City, meaning a likely starting place for either Andy Webster or Matt Jackson.

West Ham (19) v Blackburn (10)

Teddy Sheringham could take his place in the West Ham team despite suffering knee trouble this week. Defenders James Collins and Tyrone Mears, winger Yossi Benayoun and midfielder Lee Bowyer all trained during the week and should be in the squad, but forward Carlos Tevez is still out with a knee injury.

Striker Shabani Nonda is Blackburn Rovers' biggest injury worry with a shin injury picked up in the Carling Cup and manager Mark Hughes will not risk the player who is on loan from Roma. Morten Gamst Pedersen (ankle) faces a late fitness test. Midfielder Robbie Savage serves a one-match suspension after accumulating five bookings.
