Charlton (11) v Everton (10) Charlton defender Luke Young sustained an ankle injury during last weekend's draw at West Ham and is out tomorrow — and is also a major doubt for next week's FA Cup quarter-final replay at Middlesbrough. Young is the only absentee from Alan Curbishley's squad. Mikel Arteta is expected to reclaim his starting role for Everton. The midfielder has spent three weeks recovering from a jarred nerve in his back and could only manage a brief second-half appearance as a substitute in last weekend's home draw against Sunderland.

Portsmouth (19) v Blackburn (6)

Pompey record signing Benjani Mwaruwari will delay a knee operation until the end of the season to boost his side's survival fight. Manager Harry Redknapp has "two or three players doubtful" after knocks in training but will not reveal details until late fitness tests are taken. Striker Svetoslav Todorov and fit-again defender Dejan Stefanovic are both in contention for places in the starting line-up, however.

Rovers manager Mark Hughes has no fresh injury worries to contend with. Striker Craig Bellamy is still feeling a slight back problem, but will be fit to take his place in a starting line-up which could still see a couple of changes following Monday's draw with Wigan.

Sunderland (20) v Fulham (15)

Black Cats midfielder Julio Arca, defender Steve Caldwell and striker Stephen Elliott are struggling with hamstring problems, while Kevin Kyle is unlikely to figure after being scalded in a domestic accident. Nyron Nosworthy is a doubt with a dead leg, but Tommy Miller is recovering from a similar problem, while Christian Bassila is available despite being sent off on reserve team duty during the week.

Fulham goalkeeper Antti Niemi and midfielder Papa Bouba Diop are set to return from lengthy injury absences. Midfielder Michael Brown begins a three-match ban but Simon Elliott is also fit to return. Mark Pembridge — who has missed two days of training with an Achilles problem — and central defender Ian Pearce, forced off with a back injury during the Portsmouth match, are in the squad.

Tottenham (4) v Man City (13)

Spurs defender Ledley King will undergo a late fitness test on his injured ankle, while head coach Martin Jol is boosted by the return to fitness of midfielder Teemu Tainio, who has finally recovered from a throat infection. Centre-back Michael Dawson is suspended.

Claudio Reyna could make only his fourth appearance since the end of November after overcoming his latest injury — a shoulder problem. Skipper Sylvain Distin is also available after serving a one-match ban but Sun Jihai still has two games of his suspension to serve, while Joey Barton (ankle) is still at least a week away from full fitness.

Wigan (8) v Birmingham (17)

Wigan strikers Henri Camara (family reasons) and Andreas Johansson (knee) are doubtful — David Connolly could be drafted in to partner Jason Roberts up front as Wigan continue to push for a UEFA Cup place.

Blues boss Steve Bruce will have Matthew Upson, Muzzy Izzet, David Dunn and Chris Sutton available after lengthy injury lay-offs — timely with Stephen Clemence and Nicky Butt ruled out by hamstring problems. Mehdi Nafti is unlikely to be called up by Bruce this season despite starting on the comeback trail in the reserves after his cruciate ligament setback in pre-season.

Sunday

Aston Villa (16) v West Brom (18)

Striker Milan Baros hopes to figure after returning to full training following ankle problems. Gareth Barry should shake off a knee injury but Villa central defender Olof Mellberg (hamstring) and winger James Milner (virus) are still out. Central defender Mark Delaney and midfielder Patrik Berger remain sidelined.

West Brom manager Bryan Robson will have Nigel Quashie back from suspension but Steve Watson (hamstring) and Nathan Ellington (foot) are rated 50-50 and will have fitness tests.

Chelsea (1) v West Ham (9)

England defender Glen Johnson is available after making a swift recovery from last week's hernia operation, meaning Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has a fully fit squad to select from.

West Ham have reported no fresh injury concerns, although utility man Christian Dailly is still recovering from a hamstring injury and will not feature, while goalkeeper Roy Carroll — who underwent an operation on a back problem earlier in the year — also remains unavailable.

Liverpool (3) v Bolton (7)

Steven Gerrard returns from suspension to lead Liverpool and fellow midfielder Dietmar Hamann is also in contention after struggling with a back injury for a fortnight. Young defender Daniel Agger is out with a shin injury.

Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has his strongest squad available for four months. Ivan Campo and Matt Jansen return to the squad after playing for the reserves in midweek as part of their recovery from broken foot and knee injuries respectively, while Ricardo Gardner and Gary Speed have recovered from viruses.

Man Utd (2) v Arsenal (5)

Wes Brown returns to the United squad after recovering from a groin injury. Once again Sir Alex Ferguson's major dilemma is whether to go with either Louis Saha or Ruud van Nistelrooy up front after both men scored in last weekend's win at Bolton.

Sol Campbell is fit again after an ankle problem — but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is likely to stick with much the same side which drew 0-0 against Juventus. Striker Emmanuel Adebayor is available again after being cup-tied in Turin and is expected to start but Dennis Bergkamp (groin) remains a concern and defenders Ashley Cole (ankle), Pascal Cygan (hamstring) and Lauren (knee) are
all still out.

Middlesbrough (14) v Newcastle (12)

Boro defender Franck Queudrue is a doubt following the UEFA Cup win over Basle. The Frenchman, who also suffered a head injury, was substituted after aggravating a dead leg, and is likely to be joined on the sidelines by Lee Cattermole (ankle), who missed out against the Swiss side.

Kieron Dyer returns to the Newcastle squad provided he has no setbacks in training, and will be joined by defender Titus Bramble after he shook off a hamstring problem. Michael Owen (foot) is making rapid progress in training but is still some way away from a return, while Celestine Babayaro (thigh), Scott Parker (glandular fever) and Steven Taylor (shoulder) are still out.
