Soccer:Steve Kean insists he is at Blackburn for the long haul and denies he has lost the dressing room after his side Was relegated from the Premier League by a home defeat to Wigan on Monday evening

The result sparked more angry protests from the Rovers fans. The situation was further complicated when a leaked letter emerged this week indicating that Blackburn's deputy chief executive Paul Hunt had called for owners Venky's to sack Kean in December.

Hunt wrote: "He has lost the crowd and... he has lost the dressing room as well. It is a shame and disappointing but we must act now to save the club."

He also warned that the club was at risk of relegation and subsequently going into administration. But reports today suggest Hunt has now been sacked himself after the letter was leaked.

Kean has refused to comment on those reports but was more forthcoming about his own future at the club - indicating he is already planning for next season.

"I think the way the team has performed in every game has shown the dressing room is very tight," the Scot told a press conference. "We've lost a lot of experience and (replacing those players) will be a big part of the recruitment process next season.

"It's very simple. The owners are here for the long-term. I'm here for the long-term."
