Andrew Trimble is expected to be available for selection when Eddie O'Sullivan names his Ireland squad tomorrow after concerns over his fitness eased today.
Trimble, who reported to the camp with a tight hamstring following Ulster's defeat to Llanelli, was put through his paces during training in Bray this afternoon today and is understood to be on the mend.
O'Sullivan, who will trim his squad from 32 to 22 tomorrow for the meeting with South Africa, has received a relatively clean bill of health from his players although his captain Brian O'Driscoll sat out some of the session having picked up a slight knock.
