Quins lock Robson banned for six weeks

Rugby: Harlequins forward George Robson has been banned for six weeks by Rugby Football Union disciplinary chiefs

Rugby:Harlequins forward George Robson has been banned for six weeks by Rugby Football Union disciplinary chiefs.  Robson was sent off for striking Wasps scrumhalf Joe Simpson with his head just 46 seconds into last Saturday's Guinness Premiership clash at Twickenham.

The suspension means Robson is sidelined from Quins’ next four Premiership games, including appointments with Leicester and Bath, plus Heineken Cup clashes against Cardiff Blues and Toulouse.

Robson, who admitted the charge, appeared before a disciplinary panel in London last night.
