Women Six Nations/Scotland 6 Ireland 18:The Irish women's team made history on Saturday in Edinburgh by beating Scotland for the first time in the competition.

Jo O'Sullivan's 10th-minute penalty put Ireland 3-0 ahead and although Lynsey Harley replied for Scotland to make it 3-3, captain Sarah Jane Belton's try after 30 minutes made it 8-6 to Ireland at the interval.

Ireland's second-half pressure was rewarded courtesy of a slick back-line move that put Jeanette Feighery in for a well-taken try, bringing Ireland's tally to 13.

Lynne Cantwell added the visitors' third try to seal a thoroughly deserved victory.
