The former Wallaby second-row, who joined Leinster in the summer, was introduced as a replacement for Trevor Hogan at half-time and was cited by match commissioner for a breach of rule Law 10.4. No date has been set for his hearing.

Elsewhere, Scotland international Ross Ford has been suspended by Border Reivers until an independent disciplinary committee meets to make a decision on a citing against the player.

Northampton Saints have lodged a complaint after the game at Franklin's Gardens on Saturday.

The Borders hooker was cited by commissioner Denis Templeton for an alleged punching offence. A Scottish Rugby Union statement said: "Border Reivers head coach Steve Bates confirmed the club had received notice of the citing and that they were taking their own action by suspending the player until the hearing is convened."

Chris Budgen of Northampton was also cited for stamping in the same match.
