Women's football Munster championship: Kerry qualified to meet Cork in the Munster Final after an awesome display at Abbeydorney on Saturday. It was all one-way traffic in the first half as Kerry, with Caroline Kelly running at Clare from mid-field, fired over three early points, two from Geraldine O'Shea and one from Sarah O'Connor.
Kacey O'Driscoll and Sarah O'Connor saw Kerry lead 0-5 to 0-0 after 25 minutes but it was in the final four minutes of the half and six minutes of injury time that Kerry hit Clare. O'Driscoll landed two points and then in the 29th minute she scored a goal.
A little later Shari Delaney and O'Shea both planted the ball in the Clare net, Katie Kennelly added a point and Kerry were 3-9 to 0-0 in front. Clare's Marie Kelly hit a point just on half-time.
Kerry refused to ease up in the third quarter as they scored 1-6 without reply, Patrice Dennehy rifling the ball to the net and followed with a quick point.
