RACING:Godolphin have bought a majority share in Jim Bolger's unbeaten juvenile Dawn Approach, the ante-post favourite for next season's Qipco 2,000 Guineas.
The son of Derby hero New Approach secured his fourth success from as many starts with a determined display in last week’s Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.
A statement on the Godolphin website confirmed Dawn Approach would remain in training with Bolger for the rest of the campaign and race in Godolphin’s colours.
A decision about his three-year-old career will not be made until “much later” in 2012.
The Godolphin website said:
“He will be aimed at the top end-of-the-season races, such as the Group One Goffs Vincent O’Brien Stakes at the Curragh on September 15th and the Group One Dubai Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket on October 13th.”
