Donaghy leads rout for Austin Stacks

Austin Stacks 3-12 Feale Rangers 0-3: Kieran Donaghy's Stacks will face Dr Crokes and Colm Cooper in the Kerry county senior football final after a facile win over a poor a Feale Rangers outfit in the second semi-final played at the Austin Stack Park.

Donaghy over shadowed his Kerry team-mate Anthony Maher at midfield and the game was over long before half time.

Stacks were slick and moved the ball quickly and ran riot at times, either going through for a score or being fouled. Feale Rangers did manage a single score from play, their return up front for the hour, was three Conor Cox frees..

This game does not deserve analysis save to say, Stacks were on top from the outset, with Donaghy supreme and with wing back Pa McCarthy being given the freedom of the park, he nipped in for a sixth- minute goal.

Stacks lead 1-7 to 0-2 at the interval and the gulf in class was best exemplified by manner in which Stacks wing back Ronan Shanahan was alloed to run from midfield untouched and planted the ball in the net early in the second half. By the finish, it was mainly only Stacks supporters who were left to watch this mismatch.
