The annual Waterford Crystal/Autumn Leaves Classic again proved an outstanding success at Dunmore East last week when teams from Britain and Ireland competed for the overall award. Victory went to Anne Collins (Hazel Grove) and Siobhan Ward (Ballymote) who amassed 144 points to win from Michael Kennedy (Co Sligo) and John Martin (Tramore) who shot 136, a point ahead of Breda Skerritt (Dun Laoghaire) and Mary Kennedy (Co Sligo).
The women's prize went to the Laytown and Bettystown pairing of Marion McKenna and Avril Jenkinson with 125 points. The best Irish pairing was Danny Kelty and Colm Camahan from the Curragh with 128 points while the men's prize went to Liam O'Brien and Liam O'Keeffe from Macroom with 127.
