Now in its fourth year the Pharma Industry Awards, in association with Kuehne + Nagel Ireland, will take place on Thursday, October 5th, at the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road, Dublin. The annual gala event will celebrate the great achievements in the sector over the previous 12 months.

Once again, leading companies within the pharmachem sector will compete for prizes at the industry’s annual awards night - an independent panel of distinguished judges will be awarding 23 trophies on the night.

Matt Moran, director of BioPharmaChem Ireland (BPCI) is this year’s judging coordinator, and BPCI are this year’s patron for the Pharma Industry Awards. “BioPharmaChem Ireland are delighted to be associated with the Pharma Industry Awards as a patron again. The Pharma Industry Awards present a fantastic opportunity for biopharmaceutical companies to celebrate those who work within the industry and acknowledge them for the great work they do. It’s great for those who work within the sector to have a place where they can get proper recognition for all that they do to help to make this one of the leading locations for the sector in the entire globe. Event Strategies do an excellent, professional job and make the event well worth attending, we always get positive feedback from those who come along,” says Moran.

Kuehne + Nagel Ireland are the title sponsor of this year’s awards. “Kuehne + Nagel Ireland are proud to be the headline sponsor to the Pharma Industry Awards 2017.  As a world leader in providing integrated logistics services for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, the Pharma Industry Awards were a natural fit for us. We work with some of the world’s leading companies in this space and are delighted to support Irish businesses in this way,” says Adam O'Sullivan, director, Pharma + Healthcare, Kuehne + Nagel Ireland.

Previous winners include; Amgen Technology Ireland, Pfizer, ABC, Pfizer Grange Castle, Hydra’Range - Kora Healthcare, Alkermes Pharma Ireland, Chanelle Group, Pfizer Ringaskiddy, Astellas Kerry, BMS Swords, Almac Group, BMS Cruiserath Biologics, NIBRT, AbbVie in Ireland, Synthesis and Solid State Pharmaceutical Centre, ICON and LotusWorks.

Although the awards attract the biggest players in the sector, they don't always walk off with all the trophies. New entrants, start-ups and mid-sized companies have all scooped major trophies in previous years.

Other sponsors of the awards include:

Camida, Accreate, Watson – Marlow, Micro – Bio Ireland, Dawson Rentals, Indaver Ireland, GS1, Ardmac. McGee Pharma International,

Partners of the awards are; BioPharmaChem Ireland | IBEC, Shannon ABC, NIBRT, PMI and Amárach Research.

The  2017 Pharma Industry Awards

Having been upgraded to a bigger venue, the awards are expected to attract a larger number of attendees this year, rising to an estimated 500 professionals from across the industry.

Event background

Being such a prominent player in the global pharmaceutical space the Pharma Awards offers a great night for the community to get together, to network and to display their work.

The Pharma Industry Awards, in association with Kuehne + Nagel Ireland, is the largest gathering of key senior decision makers from within the pharma space. The night provides an opportunity to network with some of the biggest names in the industry that is unlike anything else on the social calendar.

In 2016, almost 500 industry professionals attended the awards night celebrating the very best individuals and achievements in the pharma industry.

Eugene Bortolozzo, chief executive officer of BusinessRiver, the company which organises the annual awards, explained why they are so necessary. “We are delighted, once again, to be convening these awards for a sector which continues to drive the Irish economy both in exports, employment and local purchasing spend.”
