The unlit harp

Sir, – Last week I walked across the easterly side of the Samuel Beckett Bridge in Dublin and counted 84 lights that needed replacing.

How are we to attract more multinationals to our Docklands when the lights, on what is fast becoming the symbol of our city, can’t be maintained and kept on? – Is mise,

DAVID

McDERMOTT,

Dublin 4 .
