Madam, – Your detailed and sensitive obituary of Joseph Ardle McArdle (April 24th) omitted one detail now known only to a select few. One of his earliest works, a Brechtian dramatic extravaganza called The Cart that Coped("cope", in the sense of "turn over"), was the UCD Dramsoc entry in a Universities Dramatic Association Festival in Stranmillis Training College in Belfast in 1960 or 1961.
