Remembering Donegal

Sir, – Una Mullally (“Forgotten Donegal emblematic of neglected swathes of Ireland”, October 28th) contrasts the riches of Donegal – landscape, beaches, culture – with its litany of woes as “Ireland’s orphan county”, but offers no solutions.

A dual carriageway to Dublin would be a start. –Yours, etc,

Dr JOHN DOHERTY
